What does DEN of tights mean?

The abbreviation DEN, which often appears on pantyhose packaging, means the density of the fiber weave. The higher the DEN value, the thicker and warmer the tights. How to wash wool tights?

Due to the wool content in the composition, we recommend that black tights be washed at 30 degrees with mild chemicals. We spin at low speed. We do not tumble dry the tights.
